I was able to photograph coastal brown bears at Lake Clark National Park in Alaska. These bears were playing with each other - think they were siblings. We stayed at Bear Mountain lodge on Chinitna bay, and were able to go out several times to view bears in their natural environment. We never knew what we might see and we saw it all. What fun!!!

Did you know - Those bears that live in coastal areas of Alaska are called coastal brown bears, while typically inland bears that have limited or no access to marine-derived food resources are often smaller and called grizzlies.
