It looks like this coastal brown bear was staring me down but in actuality, she was looking for her playmate that was coming towards her from behind me. She didn't care we were there madly snapping shots of her. She just wanted her friend for some fun. It was great to be able to capture a shot like this. The light was very nice and the lines on the beach were leading right to her. I usually level my photos but I loved this angle! And yes we were being very smart and careful and had a local guide with us who knew what he was doing around the bears. This was taken at Chinitna Bay in Alaska.
