This was one of thos lucky moments when everything came together. I was out early this morn at Kellogg Lake catching the sunrise with my drone and my camera. I had lots of fun and had packed everything up and started my car to leave and looked over and there was a heron out near the water. I pulled out my long lens and took some shots and he went out of view. So I got out of the car, knowing it would probably scare him away. I walked closer and sure enough, off he took. I started snapping away, hoping I had the right settings on my camera to capture him. And YES, I get several nice shots but this one was the one. I think it might be my new favorite capture of a blue heron! The golden light with the sun just coming up directed at the right spot, and the reflections, the sharpness of the heron, and... Hope you enjoy!
